Operation: Escape Protocol
A downloadable game for Windows
"Calm down... Just do what I say and you will get out of here in no time."
Game Info:
You are a cyborg girl who was made in a facility. But you are not the same as others, you want your freedom. So with a hacker stranger's help, you have to find a way out while neutralizing other cyborgs and the very professor who created you.
Additional Info:
Operation: Escape Protocol was my final project for the Game Development II course during my second year of university (2023-2024). I also had an opportunity to present this game to some judges from the game industry.
A very important tutorial because I forgot to mention them:
- Press "I" to Open/Close inventory
- Destroy boxes to obtain gear.
- To create battery for your power bar, you need to combine the green and orange gears in your inventory (just slide one gear to another)
- Hold your cursor on the battery and press "C" to use it.
- You can also combine 2 batteries to make a battery that charges your power fully.
- When you collect all needed keys, you need to open your inventory and drag the keys to the designated area to proceed forward.
- Press "ESC" for the pause menu. You can save/load your progress or restart the game.
(I have no idea why I didn't to mention all those,, I guess I didn't think I would publish this game at all.)
(I know the character movement is bad but welp we followed our teacher's tutorial at that time,,)

I love the concept and the innocent girl who wants to escape and win her freedom. But unfortunately the character movement and other bugs prevented me from progressing or clearing it. Other bugs include, for example, if you load you don't get your health restored to the point where you saved at.
I tried to say to myself about the character movement "just pretend you're playing a 360 rotation game like asteroids" but that still wasn't good enough. My health was gone way too easily.
I hope you'll continue working on this (writing this last part because you mentioned the idea yourself)
It looks really cute if only it were easier to play <3
First of all, thank you so much for even commenting. It means a lot that you tried this silly game of mine <3
I am very aware that the overall game and especially the character movement are very hard and complicated for no reason. It was even difficult for me to complete since I stopped working on this last year after my presentation ðŸ˜.
The bugs are probably things that weren't thought on, because of the time limit I had with this project. I also had written a more detailed story originally, where the tutorial hacker guy had more depth as a character(?) But I didn't want to push myself too far because it was just a 2nd year final project I guess.
I've never thought on publishing this game at all, so doing it kind of felt like a mistake. At that time I was tasked to explain everything while showing a gameplay video, so I now realize anyone who just saw this game will have a difficult time by the lack of information and all. But reading your comment gave me hope to start working on Operation: Escape Protocol in near future, and try to make it a game a lot more enjoyable for everyone. Thank you once again.
You're welcome! <3
I would absolutely love it if it were to continue
Might work on this game again but not sure(?)
